Myddelton College Equestrian Facility has the option to stable onsite permanently or there is a day stable available to accommodate for lessons. There are two 20 metres by 40 metres all-weather arenas and a ten-acre field and with easy access to a network of bridle paths in the surrounding Vale of Clwyd countryside. Become part of the schools equestrian team, enabling you to represent and participate in discipline events. The school can also organise specialist training and tuition for riding of all levels of abilities.
In order to receive lessons, training, and more, you must have your own pony. If you currently do not own a horse or pony, there are long-term lease options of a horse or pony available at an extra cost. This opportunity is only available for Myddelton College students.
Pony Stars Programme
In September 2021, we launched our “Pony Stars” programme in association with the British Horse Society.
Led by Mark Thomas accredited Coach who has over 20 years of teaching experience, and covers all disciplines in Equestrianism. Pony Stars will cover topics such as grooming, welfare, mucking out and riding skills. It’s not just about pony care and riding, the Pony Stars programme includes so much more – covering lots of practical topics that we think any parents or guardian would value their child learning about, such as the countryside, farm animals, kindness, leadership, conservation, feed the birds, being green and healthy mind.
As part of the programme, each child will receive their very own My Challenge Book to log their achievements. As they progress through the various challenges, there will be stickers, badges, certificates and rosettes.
Prices are £40 per half term based on a 6 week programme.
