At just 19 years old, former Myddelton College student Bogdan Golovin has already taken his journey from North Wales to the international stage.
In March 2026, Bogdan delivered a formal statement during the 61st session of the United Nations Human Rights Council in Geneva, representing civil society on behalf of Partners for Transparency. Speaking under Agenda Item 3, Bogdan addressed the importance of combating corruption and protecting human rights.
The achievement made him the youngest documented speaker from Eastern Europe to address the United Nations Human Rights Council.
It is an extraordinary milestone for Bogdan, who completed his A-Levels in Business and Economics at Myddelton College between 2022 and 2024, having moved to North Wales at the age of just 15.
Finding independence and ambition at Myddelton
For Bogdan, his time at Myddelton was an important part of the journey that has taken him from North Wales to Geneva.
“My time at Myddelton remains a very meaningful part of my journey. Moving to North Wales at the age of 15, studying in an international environment and taking Business and Economics at A-Level helped shape my independence, ambition and interest in entrepreneurship.”
During his two years at the College, Bogdan studied alongside students from around the world and embraced the opportunities that came with being part of an international school community.
He says he has particularly positive memories of the people he met and the opportunities he had to develop both academically and personally.
“I have very positive memories of the College, the people I met there and the opportunities I had to grow both academically and personally.”
After leaving Myddelton in 2024, Bogdan moved to Geneva, Switzerland, where he has continued his education in International Business, while pursuing opportunities in entrepreneurship, business development and international affairs.
From the classroom to the international stage
On 11 March 2026, Bogdan reached a remarkable milestone when he addressed the United Nations Human Rights Council during its 61st session.
Representing Partners for Transparency, he delivered a formal statement as part of Agenda Item 3, which focuses on the promotion and protection of human rights.
His participation in the session is publicly documented in the official United Nations record, where he is listed among the speakers as “Partners For Transparency, Mr. Bogdan Golovin.”
For Bogdan, the opportunity to speak at the United Nations at the age of 19 represents another step in a journey that has already taken him across countries, cultures and industries.
Building businesses and bringing people together
Alongside his studies and international work, Bogdan is also building his career as an entrepreneur.
He is the Founder of BOVLA, a Geneva-based web development and digital growth company that helps businesses strengthen their online presence through professional websites, search visibility and practical digital solutions.
He is also the Co-Founder of Founders Network, an entrepreneurship community bringing together founders, investors, students and business leaders through events and professional networking.
Although his journey has taken him far beyond North Wales, Bogdan says it remains especially meaningful that Myddelton was part of his story.
“It is especially meaningful to me that Myddelton would now like to share what I have gone on to achieve since leaving.”
And for current Myddelton students, he hopes his journey can offer encouragement for the future.
“I hope that my journey can also be encouraging to current students and show how the experiences and foundations built at school can lead to opportunities in international business, entrepreneurship and even institutions such as the United Nations.”
From arriving in North Wales as a 15-year-old student to studying and building businesses in Geneva, and now speaking on an international stage, Bogdan’s story is a wonderful example of where ambition, independence and an international outlook can lead.
