Myddelton College in Denbigh, North Wales, is holding two Stay & Play sessions for children aged 2 to 4 and their parents or carers this term: an outdoor learning session on Monday 9 November 2026 and a Christmas-themed classroom session on Wednesday 9 December 2026. Sessions are free and places are limited, so booking is essential.
Stay & Play is a relaxed way for young children to explore, play and make friends, while parents get to see our Early Years teaching in action and meet the staff who would be looking after their child. There’s no pressure and no formal tour, just an hour or so of fun together.

Why come to a Stay & Play?
Choosing where your child starts school is a big decision, and it’s much easier when you’ve seen a place for yourself. A Stay & Play session lets you:
- See how your child responds to the classroom, the outdoor space and the teachers
- Meet our Early Years staff and ask questions in an informal setting
- Connect with other local families with children of a similar age
- Get a feel for school life before Reception, so the first day feels familiar
Many families find that their child talks about it for days afterwards, and that’s usually the best sign of all.
