Stanley’s House
Stanley’s House is our Senior Boarding House
In the Senior House we aim to create a supportive and caring environment. Offering clear guidance yet encouraging independence which leaves our pupils fully equipped for their journey beyond Myddelton. It is a home from home for both UK and International boarders with differences in cultural identities being recognised and embraced. There are clear lines of communication between the School, the boarders and their parents / guardians. There is a strong emphasis on family, friendship and community making sure that all pupils feel physically and emotionally content, allowing them to achieve their potential.
Our senior pupils have the opportunity to fully engage in a wide range of onsite activities and clubs as well weekly trips to a wide range of venues to include Liverpool, Manchester, Snowdonia and Chester. There are opportunities for pupils to take on leadership roles to support the junior pupils. All pupils take advantage of the support and guidance for their future studies and participate in a number of extra-curricular opportunities to enhance their UCAS applications.
George’s House
George’s House is our Junior Boarding House
In George’s we create an environment of care and fun. Pupils are supported in every aspect of their boarding lives in order to help prepare them for the independence that comes within the Senior House. The Houseparents and Matron play a prominent role in the care and welfare of every boarder and help them to reach their potential.
Pupils are kept busy each evening and during the weekend by being encouraged to participate in a wide range of activities. There are special friendships formed between many cultures and nationalities and pupils from the Senior House guide them as older brother and sister figures.
