Myddelton College is proud to celebrate the achievements of its Year 13 pupils following the release of this year’s A-level and BTEC results. Pupils from across the globe have secured places at leading universities in the UK and overseas, with others embarking on apprenticeships and professional opportunities.
This year’s results showcase the diverse talents and ambitions of the College’s Sixth Form. Highlights include:
- Izzy – achieving A*, A, A and preparing to study Biomedical Science at the University of Manchester
- Rhodri – achieving three A grades and accepting a place to study Medicine at the University of Edinburgh.
- Pranay – heading to the University of Liverpool to study Applied Mathematics.
- Olivia – earning a Distinction*, the highest possible grade, in BTEC Digital Film and Video Production, with a perfect 100% score, and joining Myddelton College as an apprentice in marketing and administration.
Headteacher Mrs Lucy Davies commented:
“The hard work and dedication of our Sixth Form pupils has truly paid off, and we celebrate your success alongside your very proud families. You are fantastic examples of our College’s Three Pillars of Fellowship, Resilience and Scholarship. Whether you’re heading to university, starting an apprenticeship, or exploring new opportunities, we know you’ll continue to thrive and make a difference. Well done indeed.”
The College’s recent Estyn inspection recognised the strength of its Sixth Form provision, noting that:
- “Myddelton College fosters a nurturing, inclusive culture in which pupils quickly develop a sense of belonging and pride.”
- “Many sixth form pupils display high levels of enthusiasm and engagement in their learning.”
- “In the sixth form pupils receive individual guidance related to higher education options and alternative pathways.”
- “The curriculum is enriched through an extensive range of co-curricular opportunities”
