Director of Sport and Outdoor Learning

Ms Churchill oversees all sport at the college and created the ground breaking Learning Through the Outdoors programme. Ms Churchill’s background lies strongly in personal development expeditions, within Wales and the UK but around the world including Australia, South Africa and Peru. Ms Churchill was part of the Outdoor Education team at United World College of South East Asia, leading personal development expeditions to Korea, Thailand and Malaysia. She then moved to the UAE and worked on a military programme as a life skills instructor specifically in female schools. It was after this she returned to the USA then went on to manage sea kayaking and sailing expeditions in Boston and North Carolina for Outward Bound. She holds multiple qualifications in the outdoors and sports coaching, a degree in Sport Fitness and Coaching, a PGCE in Outdoor Activities and sport. In her free time you will find her in the mountains, out sea kayaking or at the moment running to run everyday for 133 days.
