Manicuring Myddelton – The Secret Life of our Estates Team

We have the man for the job!

This term has seen our Estates team multitasking to improve and enhance our facilities both in-house and outside.  Given a clutch for the mower, a second-hand strimmer and a hover mower: they have been in action manicuring the many acres at Myddelton College.  With a newly acquired pump, they have emptied the water out of the swimming pool and they are now actively engaged in giving it a full beauty treatment with a coat of special paint.  Once painted it can be filled and it will be ready for use!

During the Easter holidays, the Estates team were busy with their paintbrushes attacking the new classrooms for Years 5 and 6.  They should be justly very proud of their work because with the help of the new carpeting the rooms look perfect.

Work continues with paintbrushes as they paint the Student Support Room (the resident teacher threatened to do it herself and the threat was met with an army of estates men with ladders and paint tins at the ready)! In a couple of days, they had the finished product and we have a delighted teacher.
