What can I do if a students iPad remains in restricted mode when they get home or in the evening for boarders?

There are several reasons why this could happen, most can be quickly fixed, but some require intervention from IT Support to resolve.

Firstly ensure Location Services is enabled on the App. To do this tap Settings, down the left hand side find and select “Impero edlink”, now ensure Location is set to “Always”. Next open the App called “Impero Edlink” on the device and tap on the 3 lines in the top left and tap “Sync”. This should force the device into unrestricted mode within a few seconds. If this doesn’t resolve the issue there may be a server side issue which needs intervention from IT Support. What options do I need to choose to connect my Android device to the school Wi-Fi

In order to connect to the school Wi-Fi on an Android device you need to ensure the following options are set, although on most Android versions these will be default

EAP Method – PEAP
Phase-2 Authentication – MSCHAPV2
CA Certificate – Do not validate
Anonymous – “leave blank”
Identity – “Enter your username here, the bit before the ‘@’ sign in your school email”
Password – “This is your school password”
