Established on the site of a former well known school, Myddelton College is a fresh new co-educational school for the county town of Denbigh. Created with a vision of academic excellence with British education values instilled, Myddelton College is the ideal place for your child to enjoy their education. The college, taking its name from the local Myddelton family who lived in the town, provides an all-round education for boys and girls aged 9-18 for pupils from all backgrounds and is proud of the diverse student body we have.
There is a fantastic family atmosphere at Myddelton College, our class sizes are small and the teacher to pupil ratio is generous, enabling our dedicated teachers to deliver tailored learning for pupils of all academic abilities and permitting every individual to find the opportunity to excel, this also means that we really get to know our students as individuals; what they excel at and if they need extra support.
How are we different?
Myddelton College will be offering a unique set of elements that provide so much more than a traditional independent education for our students.
A Microsoft Associate Showcase School
Upon joining us, all students at Myddelton College will need to purchase a touch screen device from one of our recommended suppliers, please click on the link for more information

Myddelton College is proud to have already been awarded the global accolade of being a Microsoft Associate Showcase School in recognition of our innovative approach to integrating technology into education. Modern technology is such an integral part of every aspect of society, Myddelton College students are therefore expected to engage with the internet, with lessons that are delivered electronically, through Cloud technology, using flip learning techniques and utilising the Microsoft Office 365, the backbone of so many businesses and industries around the world.
Learning through the Outdoors programme
Our ‘Learning through the Outdoors programme’, will enable our students to undertake a wide range of activities designed to help them develop the leadership skills that collaboration and teamwork in the physical environment provide. Whether that’s through joining our Cadet Force, the Duke of Edinburgh Award programme, training with our Triathlon team, learning golf, our students will learn skills that will see them through their lives.
Our University Preparation course begins when a student joins us because we know that access to the world’s best universities is tightly fought, and extended advice and preparation are essential to ensure that every student gets into the best university for them. With so many of the world’s best universities in the UK, our programme ensures that Myddelton College students know, understand and can succeed at the highly competitive entry and Scholarship system in the university market.
Student welfare support
Myddelton College is also about providing a pastoral care structure that goes well beyond simple welfare; at Myddelton, we focus on developing and maturing the individual, both emotionally and intellectually. We believe that we will have a support system in place that is second to none when it comes to helping encouraging, supporting and advising young people navigate their life between the ages of 9 – 18.
