Mr Andrew Allman
I am Andy Allman Headmaster of Myddelton College. I attended Shrewsbury School before studying a Bachelor of Arts Honours Degree in Theology and a Masters in Education as well as a Postgraduate Teaching Qualification from Durham University. In addition to being the Headmaster at Myddelton, I have been a Principal Examiner for AQA for several years. I live onsite with my wife Sarah, daughter Phoebe and son Jacob. We enjoy spending time with the boarders and promoting the wonderful family ethos.

Mrs Carly Gilmour
Hello my name is Carly Gilmour I am the Head of Admissions at Myddelton College. I'm often the first point of contact for our prospective parents and pupils. I take the time to get to know each student as an individual so we can provide the best experience for them here at Myddelton.

Sixth Form
Whether you are new to Myddelton College or continuing from the middle school, you will be warmly welcomed into our Sixth Form community. With guidance and support, students will select A Levels that compliment and support their future education route. Our Sixth Form department strives to take a global perspective on Higher Education, inspiring students to consider not only universities within the United Kingdom, but also around the world.

EAL
Students are withdrawn from Modern Foreign Language lessons and mainstream English and given additional English language support to support them in accessing the curriculum. Students will have 4-5 hours of direct English instruction per week, in addition to the development of English language skills in their other subject lessons.

Mrs Katie Gresley-Jones
I am Katie Gresley-Jones and I am Head of the Preparatory School at Myddelton College. I joined the college in 2017 when the prep school first opened. As a qualified Paws-B teacher I ensure the wellbeing and mental health of our youngest students is taken care of alongside a strong academic focus. I recently completed the NASENCO award to ensure all pupils in the Prep School are both supported and challenged in their learning.

Our Boarding Family
Boarders at Myddelton College are part of a large family community; we encourage a sense of belonging and a feeling of personal fulfilment in a happy, stable, caring and friendly environment. Whilst the academic side of things is a high priority, we want all students to fully participate in a wide variety of sporting, cultural and leisure activities.

Here at Myddelton College we embrace students from all countries and believe that in creating a college of many different nationalities it provides a great opportunity for staff and students alike to gain exposure to a diverse variety of languages and cultures.

Student Support
We incorporate support within the classroom as required through targeted help within small groups and individual assistance from specialist teachers. Regularly updated Individual Support Plans are written for students with either pre-existing or newly-identified learning needs or disabilities, with input from the student, their parents, and their teachers. This facilitates effective, proactive support enabling every student equal access to a high quality education.

Mr Ian Lloyd
I am Ian Lloyd, Senior Deputy Headmaster at Myddelton College. I have a Bachelor of Science Computing degree with first class honours, postgraduate modules in computer forensics and a Postgraduate Certificate in Educational Practice (Cardiff University). As a Microsoft Innovative Educator Expert and Microsoft Certified Teacher, I represent Myddelton College at National and Global conferences for Showcase Schools sharing best practice not just with our staff but also innovative teachers all over the world.

I'm Alun Brown, Deputy Headmaster, with responsibility for Teaching and Learning at Myddelton College and oversight of the Sixth Form.

Prep School
Myddelton Preparatory School teaches students between the ages of 7-10 (Year 3 - Year 6). Small class sizes mean that students benefit from a high teacher: student ratio and receive an education that is tailored to them. Lessons are highly stimulating, and field trips are designed to be memorable visits that bring their studies to life.

Senior School
Lessons are designed to use each student’s full capabilities, and field trips are memorable visits that bring studies to life. Students are encouraged to take an active part in the classroom conversation, as well as participating in extracurricular activities. Students will undergo classes on; personal profiling, understanding their skills, and developing an individual development plan. This plan focuses on providing a platform to help them realise their full potential.

Equestrian Facility
Myddelton College Equestrian Facility has the option to stable onsite permanently or there is a day stable available to accommodate for lessons. There are two 20 metres by 40 metres all-weather arenas and a ten-acre field and with easy access to a network of bridle paths in the surrounding Vale of Clwyd countryside.

Football Academy
The Myddelton Football Academy aims to help young footballers experience a professional environment and unlock their potential. Our programme focuses on developing you as a footballer and as an individual, on and off the pitch.
We offer detailed structured training and knowledge on how to improve technically and tactically with every session.

💚 We thought we would share this update from Sara regarding her marathon training. Time has flown, and there are now only 2 days to go!!
"I'm looking forward to the very big run on Sunday. Time has flown by. It's been an amazing journey from zero miles to my new longest run of 20 miles. Over 600km of training done, including long runs, short runs, trail runs, hill runs, sprints, fartleks, tempo runs, heart rate runs, runs in the dark, wind, rain, sleet, snow, and a little bit of sun. With a last-minute place, I am so pleased to be where I am now and to be ready to take on the full 26.2 miles. I'm also so lucky to have the opportunity to support Alzheimer's Research UK. Every penny raised will go towards ground-breaking research, diagnosis, and ultimately new treatments for those living with Alzheimer's disease, a disease that affects the lives of 1 in 3 people."

Thanks for sharing and thank you to all those who have donated. I am really very, very grateful. My mum was diagnosed with Alzheimer's in February last year. I wanted to do something big and show support for the incredible treatments that are being developed for Alzheimer's disease and the pursuit of a cure. Xxxxx
