Myddelton College have joined the Young Chamber Programme as their most recent school and we are looking to expand our employer engagement across the region. We will be involved in careers fairs and mock interviews, as well as inviting local business people to talk to our students about their career journeys and educational pathways.
‘We are so excited to become part of the West Cheshire and North Wales Chamber of Commerce’s Young Chamber Programme’ said Edie Griffiths, Teacher of Business Studies at Myddelton College.
‘We have recently launched STEM-B (Science, Technology, Engineering, Maths and Business) at Myddelton College, so having opportunities for our students to connect with real business and put their skills in to action is very exciting. In March 2019, we are hosting the first ever Myddelton College STEM-B week, the purpose of this event is to encourage students, families and the local community to take an active interest in STEM and it’s importance in business. We really look forward to working with Dan and the rest of the team at Young Chamber for this event, so we can really prepare our students to thrive in the 21st Century.’
